01 Overview

Packing done by our crew, not left to chance

Packing is the part everyone underestimates. A four-bedroom in Berwyn or a center-hall colonial in Devon holds more than anyone expects, and the night-before scramble with wine boxes from the liquor store is how grandmother’s china ends up in pieces. Premier Movers packs homes the way we move them — with our own trained crew, proper materials, and a system. We’ve been doing it on the Main Line since 2011, and we’ll pack the whole house or just the rooms you’d rather not face.

Main Line neighbors trust Wayne, PA movers for a premium move on one written flat rate.

Everything comes from us: sturdy cartons, dish-pack barrels for kitchens, wardrobe boxes that keep hanging clothes on the rail, and the paper, bubble and tape to do it right. Fragile and high-value pieces — stemware, framed art, the mirror over the mantel — get custom-protected, not just dropped in a box with a sheet of newsprint. Packing runs on the same clock as your move, $145/hr for two movers or $195/hr for three, so you’re never paying a premium just because it’s packing.

You decide how much we do:

  • Full pack — every room boxed, labeled and inventoried the day before the move
  • Partial pack — kitchen, china cabinet, art and other breakables only, you handle the easy stuff
  • Fragile-only — we pack what’s irreplaceable and you save on the rest
  • Unpack and haul-away — boxes opened, contents placed, and the empties carried off

Every carton gets a room label so unpacking in the new house is orderly instead of an afternoon spent opening mystery boxes to find the coffee maker. Timing matters as much as materials — for a full house we usually pack the day before so the truck loads clean and moving day stays on schedule, and a small apartment can be packed and moved the same morning. When our crew packs a box, it travels under your move’s coverage — $0.60/lb released value standard, full-value protection available, up to $1,000,000 cargo coverage per shipment. A $150 deposit holds the dates and credits to your final bill. Get a flat-rate quote and tell us how hands-on you want to be, and we’ll size the packing crew and the timeline to match.

What comes with it

  • Our own trained, uniformed packers boxing your whole home or just the rooms you don't want to touch
  • All packing materials supplied: cartons, dish-pack barrels, wardrobe boxes, paper, bubble and tape
  • Custom protection for fragile and high-value items — china, stemware, framed art and mirrors
  • Packing labor billed on the same clock as your move: $145/hr for two or $195/hr for three movers
  • A room-by-room labeled inventory so unpacking at the new house is organized, not a guessing game
  • Optional unpacking and debris haul-away, with $0.60/lb released-value protection and up to $1,000,000 cargo coverage

How the price gets set

We give you one flat rate on paper after a short walkthrough or video estimate, drawn from the inventory you actually have rather than a clock running by the hour. The price on the sheet is the whole price, with nothing tacked on later.

02 How we protect your move

We treat your belongings like ours

Long before the first box is loaded, our truck arrives stocked to guard furniture, protect floors, and cushion anything fragile in those old Main Line homes.

Quilted pads

Dressers, tables, and headboards get wrapped and padded on the spot, before anything budges.

Stretch film

Drawers stay latched, cushions stay spotless, and upholstery rides sealed off from dust and Pennsylvania weather.

Floor & doorway guards

Runners, rail wraps, and jamb pads go in first so hardwood, banisters, and trim come through untouched.

Built-to-fit crating

Mirrors, glass tops, framed art, and flat screens travel in crates made for them, corners and all.

Break-down & rebuild

Bed frames, tables, and oversized furniture come apart for the haul and go back together at the new address.

Straps, dollies & gear

The right tie-downs and equipment for narrow staircases, finished basements, and the heavy stuff — never a shortcut.

03 Why us

A licensed mover, never a middleman

Hire Premier and the truck in your driveway is ours, the crew on the ramp is ours, and our name is on the paperwork. Brokers do none of that — they auction your move to the cheapest bidder and disappear.

Premier Movers
  • Premier’s own trucks and our full-time, background-checked movers
  • A single written flat rate — the figure you sign is the figure you owe
  • One crew handles both ends, from your old door to your new one
  • PA PUC household-goods authority plus USDOT/MC, fully insured
  • A Wayne office and a single point of contact from first call to last box
What a broker does
  • Auctions your job off to whichever carrier bids cheapest
  • Springs new fees and fresh quotes on you come move day
  • Sends a crew you have never met to load your home
  • Leaves you guessing who is actually on the hook
  • Puts a call center between you and the people doing the lifting

Common questions on this service

Can you pack just the kitchen and leave the rest to me?
Absolutely. Plenty of Wayne clients pack their own closets and books and have us handle only the kitchen, the china cabinet and the artwork — the breakables that take the most time and worry. We bill packing on the same $145/hr or $195/hr clock, so a partial pack stays affordable.
Does packing happen on moving day or before?
For a full house we usually pack the day before so moving day stays on schedule and the truck loads clean. A small apartment can be packed and moved the same morning. We'll lay out the timeline when we quote and a $150 deposit holds both days if needed.
Will the boxes be covered if something breaks?
When our crew packs the carton, it travels under the same coverage as the rest of your move — $0.60/lb released value standard, full-value protection available, and up to $1,000,000 cargo coverage per shipment. Owner-packed boxes are the one thing we can't insure for internal damage, which is exactly why people have us pack the fragile rooms.
