The heavy lifting, without the truck rental markup
Plenty of Main Line moves don’t need a full-service mover — they need strong, experienced hands for two hours. Maybe you rented a Penske for a cross-country drive and just want it loaded right. Maybe a POD is sitting in the driveway in Paoli and you don’t fancy carrying a sleeper sofa up the ramp yourself. Premier Movers offers labor-only crews for exactly that: you provide the truck, container or trailer, and we provide the muscle and the method.
Main Line neighbors trust Premier Movers for a premium move on one written flat rate.
These aren’t casual hands pulled off a corner. They’re the same uniformed Premier movers who run our full-service jobs, so you get real load-planning, not just lifting. Where the weight rides, how the tiers strap together, which pieces get padded — that’s the difference between a load that arrives intact and one that shifts on the first ramp off I-76. We bring our own pads, shrink wrap, dollies and straps; you don’t have to source a thing.
Labor-only covers the range of self-move situations here:
- Loading a rental truck for a DIY drive to New York, Pittsburgh or down the I-95 corridor
- Packing a POD or container tight for a carrier to haul
- Unloading at the new house when you drove the truck but don’t want to carry it in
- Reloading after a renovation, or shifting a household within a storage unit
Billing is our standard crew rate — $145/hr for two movers or $195/hr for three, with the one-hour minimum waived — and a $150 deposit holds the crew and date, credited to the final labor bill. We’ll disassemble and reassemble beds and large furniture as part of the labor if you need it, and we bring the pads, straps and dollies so you’re not making a hardware-store run the morning of. One note worth saying plainly: on labor-only jobs we’re handling, not transporting your goods, so coverage applies to our work loading the truck rather than the drive you make afterward — if you’d rather we own the whole move end to end, our full-service option does exactly that. Get a flat-rate quote and tell us what you’ve rented and when it’s arriving.

How the price gets set
We give you one flat rate on paper after a short walkthrough or video estimate, drawn from the inventory you actually have rather than a clock running by the hour. The price on the sheet is the whole price, with nothing tacked on later.
