Long-distance moving with one crew, start to finish
When a Main Line family leaves Wayne for good — a job in Charlotte, a retirement place outside Tampa, a brownstone in New York — the part that goes wrong with most companies is the handoff. Your goods get loaded, trucked to a terminal, dumped, reloaded onto whatever’s headed your direction, and rehandled by people who never met you. Premier doesn’t work that way. We’re a licensed interstate carrier with USDOT and MC authority, our own trucks, and our own crews. Mike Okafor leads most of our long hauls, and the team that wraps your house in Radnor is the team that carries it inside in the new state.
Main Line neighbors trust Premier Movers for a premium move on one written flat rate.
Long-distance is priced as a door-to-door flat rate, not the local hourly clock — so you’re never paying $195/hr while the truck idles in traffic on the Schuylkill or crawls down I-95. We build the number from your home size and the road miles, give you the full band before you commit, and a $150 deposit holds the date and credits to the final bill.
Pricing scales cleanly with distance and size:
- Closer runs like Baltimore (~105 mi) and Washington (~140 mi) off I-95 are the most affordable per the band
- Mid-distance moves to Richmond, Pittsburgh over the PA Turnpike, and Columbus sit in the middle
- Long retiree-corridor hauls to Charlotte, Chicago and Tampa land at the top, with a four-bedroom to Tampa reaching roughly $11,500–$16,000
Every shipment is inventoried, blanket-wrapped and shrink-wrapped before it leaves the curb, and released-value coverage at $0.60/lb is included with full-value protection and up to $1,000,000 cargo coverage per shipment available. We time departures around weather too — a February nor’easter sitting over I-476, the Blue Route, is a reason to leave a day early, not a reason to lose your delivery window — and we give you a delivery date you can actually plan a closing around. A $150 deposit holds your spot on the schedule and credits to the final balance. Get a flat-rate quote and we’ll map the route, the timing and the price the same day, with one crew responsible for the whole thing from the curb in Wayne to the door in the next state.
What comes with it
- A dedicated Premier Movers truck and our own long-haul crew chief, Mike Okafor, on the load — no shared freight, no transfer terminals
- A written flat-rate quote with door-to-door pricing instead of an hourly clock that runs while you're stuck on I-95
- Full inventory, blanket-wrap and shrink-wrap of every item before it leaves the Main Line
- The same crew that loads in Wayne unloads at the destination, so nothing is rehandled at a warehouse
- Released-value coverage at $0.60/lb included, full-value protection available, and up to $1,000,000 cargo coverage per shipment
- A $150 deposit to reserve the date, credited to the final balance, with USDOT/MC interstate authority on file
How the price gets set
We give you one flat rate on paper after a short walkthrough or video estimate, drawn from the inventory you actually have rather than a clock running by the hour. The price on the sheet is the whole price, with nothing tacked on later.
