When the closings don’t line up
It happens on almost every Main Line move: you settle on the old house before the new one is ready, or the buyer needs you out a week early, and suddenly you’ve got a household and nowhere to put it. Premier Movers built short-term storage to bridge exactly that gap. We’ve handled it for Wayne families since 2011 — load the house, hold it safe, and bring it back when the new place is yours.
Main Line neighbors trust Main Line movers for a premium move on one written flat rate.
The advantage of using your mover for storage instead of a self-storage place is that you only touch your furniture once. Our own crew loads the home, pad-wrapped and inventoried, into clean, dry, monitored storage. When you’re ready, the same operation runs in reverse — we pull it, load the truck, and deliver. You’re not renting a truck twice or wrestling a sofa into a unit yourself.
Pricing stays consistent with the rest of our work:
- The move into storage and the redelivery each run on our crew rate — $145/hr for two movers, $195/hr for three
- Storage is a flat monthly charge sized to your goods, quoted before you commit
- A single $150 deposit holds both the move-in and the move-out date and credits to your bill
- Everything is inventoried, so what goes in is what comes out — nothing left to memory
Stored goods carry the same protection as a move — $0.60/lb released value standard, full-value coverage available, up to $1,000,000 cargo coverage per shipment. We pad-wrap and inventory everything before it goes in, so what’s loaded is exactly what comes back out, accounted for piece by piece rather than left to memory. Whether it’s a few days between settlements in Radnor, a couple of weeks while a Bryn Mawr renovation finishes, or a longer hold while you decide on the next house, we’ll keep your household safe so a closing-date mismatch doesn’t turn into a scramble for storage at the last minute. Get a flat-rate quote and we’ll price both legs and the storage together, in one number you can plan around.
What comes with it
- Clean, dry, monitored storage for the gap between closings — days, weeks or a couple of months
- Our crew loads your goods into the unit and pulls them back out — you never re-handle furniture
- Pad-wrapped and inventoried items so everything that goes in comes back out accounted for
- Delivery on the same $145/hr or $195/hr crew rate when you're ready for the second leg
- A single $150 deposit that holds both the move-in and the move-out date, credited to your bill
- Released-value coverage at $0.60/lb on stored goods, full-value optional, up to $1,000,000 cargo coverage per shipment
How the price gets set
We give you one flat rate on paper after a short walkthrough or video estimate, drawn from the inventory you actually have rather than a clock running by the hour. The price on the sheet is the whole price, with nothing tacked on later.
